Life with a 16 month old
Yesterday while I was helping Court and the scouts make cookies, Izzy decided she wanted to play with a sponge paintbrush that I had on the counter. When I turned around to answer a question she was pretending to paint the cupboards. As I looked back she was gone. It took me a minute to find out where she had gone. When I found her she was in our bedroom painting the walls with water that she had gotten out of our toilet in the master bath. I found it so funny that I even called in Court to see it before I stopped her. Clean up as was not as funny.

Easter Dress
Here are a few pictures of Isabel in her Easter dress that Aunt Emily bought her. Of course they are of her egg hunting in front of our house because she won't stand still long enough for me to get a picture of her otherwise.

She loved egg hunting. In fact, on Monday at our play date Aubrey had this really great idea to decorate little lunch bags and then use them as nature bags to put items outside in them. But once Izzy got outside with hers, she mildly confused. You could tell she was looking for eggs to put in her bag. So can you probably guess she didn't have much in her bag.
Out of my way car got to find some eggs. Hope everyone had a Happy Easter.

Encounter with the Easter Bunny
On Saturday we went to the Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Erin and Brian's. We were excited to see Izzy participate in the hunt. Last year she was only 5 months old and slept through most of it. Court and I went over to help hide the eggs before all the kids showed up and it was so cute to see Izzy go behind us and take the eggs.
This is Izzy playing with the basket as she waits to be let outside.
She really took a shine to egg hunting. She knew immediately what the objective of the game was and even that there was treats inside.
After the hunt a visitor showed up. As you can tell Izzy was not that excited to see the hairy friend. Mikey who was in the costume, even tried to talk to her to calm her down with no luck. After the party, we even tried to show her that it was Mikey under the costume but she didn't want to have anything to do with him.
Mikey was so upset that his niece didn't want to go to him, that he made me take this picture after he got changed. We really do love you Uncle Mikey.

Uncle Ikey
It has been a while since I have updated my blog. I keep waiting for something fun to write about or pictures to add but we have been so busy with life that I haven't had much time to think about it.
The latest news: Mikey and Brooke have found the cutest little house in Logan and will be moving out in May. Although we will miss them we are so excited for all the changes that will be coming as Mikey continues his schooling at USU. Logan is a great place for newlyweds. I sure they will love it.
One of the thing I will miss the most is Isabel calling for Mikey every time we go downstairs. She gets so excited to see him. It is save to say that he is one of her favorite people. In fact, Mikey was one of the first words she learned after mom and dad, of course. However, the M was hard to pronounce so for the first few months it was just "ikey". With them will go Merlynn, Mikey's yellow lab who we all call Moo. The house just won't feel the same without them. Uncle Ikey, Aunt Brooke and Moo, we will miss you; make sure to visit us often.

Spring please come faster
Last week the weather was so nice that Isabel and I went outside to play while we waited for dad to come home from work. We took out her car that she got for Christmas and played on the driveway.
SIDENOTE: If you look closely you will notice that Court got personalized license plates on his jeep. They read BLUORNG. Blue orange for the broncos of course. I guess "I live for the Broncos" was taken.
Anyways, I pushed Isabel around a couple of time before she got off and decided she prefered to push. For some reason she has moments when she likes to be in charge. I wonder where she got that.
The Shiner
For those of you who have seen us in the last week or so have noticed the nice shiner that Isabel got last week at Church. Yes at Church. She was walking ( more like running ) behind a older gentlemen from the other ward and out of no where he slowed to a stop. The back of his heel caught Isabel's foot and she went face first into the back pew of the chapel.
Isn't it a beaut? These were pictures the day after. And you can still see a small bit of it a week later.
Church is such a dangerous place (as one of my friends said)
